The Iolite here is form Pakistan. Called the water Sapphire and showing pleochroism. Meaning the stone is pleochroic a term used when a stone shows two or more different colors or shades when viewed at different angles. Giving this stone a different name Dichroite. Iolite is also known as Cordierite named after the discover  French mineralogist Cordier. All are cut and polished to perfection in my own cutting shop.
